RemotePC is a simple method for remote users to access on-campus computers setup with and running the RemotePC application. Requests to have RemotePC installed can be sent to the Helpdesk (https://support.sva.edu or helpdesk@sva.edu). 

Helpdesk Technicians or Systems Administrators will facilitate the install of the application on campus computers.  

Most questions can be answered by RemotePC’s FAQs online.

Blank Host Screen

Keeping your office computer screen blank when you are remotely connected to it.

SVAIT Tip: You will need to be running the dedicated RemotePC Viewer application on your remote Mac or PC computer to enable this function. 

  • Download RemotePC Viewer application from the download icon on the upper-right corner of your RemotePC dashboard/homepage (https://www.remotepc.com/rpcnew/home) 
  • You may have issues installing RemotePC viewer on SVA loaner machines, this will require Helpdesk Support. Email Helpdesk@sva.edu for assistance. 
  • Once Viewer is installed and you have connected to your work machine, select Actions tab, scroll down to Blank Host Screen.

  • Every remote session you will need to follow these steps.

Dual Monitors/File transfers  

If your remote computer has more than one monitor, the RemotePC app allows you to switch between multiple screens.

File transfers between local desktop and onsite work computers is possible.
